Project Description
A replacement dwelling on the edge of a golf course in Seacroft, Skegness. The house was a replacement dwelling which under normal planning rules could only be 15% larger than the original. However due to National Planning Policy guidelines allowing buildings of exceptional quality or innovation, we convinced the Planning Department to allow us this opportunity in creating a truly authentic Arts and Crafts country house which was over 300% larger than the original. Meticulous research was undertaken into the great Edwardian architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Charles Voysey, together with a comprehensive study of the quality “villa” style architecture of the area in order to produce a faithful representation of the period.
